A litle about us- My name is Shelby Heyrend. I have a husband, Justin and 3 littles, Ava who is 9, Memphis who is 5 and Noa who is 2. My husband is a CRNA and i am a licensed Cosmetologist. I have been a stay at home mom with my children and have done hair here and there throughout to stay busy. At the beginning of 2023 I had a New Years resolution to switch our household products to products with clean ingredients. As you know, our skin is our largest organ in the body. It absorbs everything we put on it! Using clean skincare is the best thing we can do for it.
At the time, my daughter was really struggling with eczema all over her body. Our pediatricians have prescribed many different steroids and topical creams in the past that just never completely took care of the problem.
Wanting to find clean skincare that would also help Ava's eczema was on the forefront of my mind. I did much research and decided to try beef tallow! Crazy right?! Who would put beef fat on their skin!? Well, we gave it a shot. What did we have to lose when we had tried everything. Guess what? It WORKED!! OVERNIGHT!!
This gave me the motivation I needed to make permanent changes in our household. We threw away all of our toxic lotions- see ya later Bath & Body Works!! Soon, everyone wanted to know what we were using that was curing our skin issues overnight!
I quickly signed up to be a vendor at our local farmers market and this small tallow business TOOK OFF! Everyone wanted to try it. It is clean, safe and GOOD for you! I was very successful selling on Etsy as well, until they blacklisted me. I am not able to tell this story on Etsy because it is making medical claims that an unregulated product will heal you. So, I made my own website where I can sell what I want and say what I want!
My main goal has never been to just sell but to HELP others HEAL! There is nothing more important than our health and I believe we all deserve to be educated with as much knowledge as possible!
